Last year I was introduced to Susan Staples Bell, a piano teacher and composer. She made a fun arrangement of Joy to the World with 5 people at the piano and a clapping rhythm section. In late October I showed three of my piano students, two online and one in-person the idea, where we worked very hard on learning parts 1, 2 and 3 and the goal was to get them to play together on a video. Last Saturday, December 16th was my last lessons and the studio event, where the piano trio was premiered and the short video was inspiring to the audience and myself. What a blessing to see two of the online students and a in-person student in various states learn their part, experience how to play with a metronome and then having them create a video of their section. Plus my favorite part was hearing three of the solo parts turn into a piano trio. I was overwhelmed in a great way.
Here is the link to the Creative Christmas, that is worth checking out.
Plus here is the YouTube that my good friend Aaron Fox created. Thanks sir. This short arrangement got me excited about new ideas for next year. What are you doing that's beyond yourself? Would like to know. Thanks for your support. Blessings.
