Flora and Ulysses Play: Video of the Week

Friday was the performance of the play Flora and Ulysses, the play from Plays for New Audience, Book Author by Kate DiCamillo and play adaptation by John Glore. This was a play that I wanted to try to do last summer, yet was concerned about the costs involved. This January, I took a risk that provided amazing opportunities for 9 kids who accomplished a spectacular play beyond anything I could ask or think.
Each actor and actress took their character and developed the words on the pages of the script into a believable scenario, that made me weep, at how surreal the story is relevant even for today. We all need hope. Thanks to everyone who worked to accomplish an amazing story. I'm so proud of their efforts and determination.
