Happy Halloween
In honor of Halloween wanted to share a brand new song by Jason Siffort from the piano book called Strange Sounds, through Willis Music. This brand new song is one I will teach even after Halloween. Sifford creates a song called Lupus Ululat (Latin: the wolf howls), where he is created a song with "crazy tempos" throughout the piece and various dynamics. The song is in A Harmonic Minor, plus extra accidentals that make the song sound eerie and creepy. Sifford starts the song

Jolly Old St Nicholas Piano Quartet
Wanted to share a quick arrangement of an Early Elementary version by Phillip Keveren from the book Christmas Piano Ensemble Level 1 through Hal Leonard. This very basic arrangement includes 4 parts. The video consists of me playing each of the parts seperately and then I sent the videos to my friend who put all the of the parts together. I'm really excited about hearing what Keveren's song sounded like together. Currently I have a family who is supposed to play this for the

Newer Christmas Songs from My Studio
The past few weeks have been busier than ever. Last week I got a virus, so I spent time resting and teaching lessons online. Plus last Saturday we had a Halloween Studio Event (thankfully I felt well enough for move forward), where the students outdid themselves. If you know anything about me, that's totally up

She share with a FB group about very short Halloween songs that are simple and fun for piano students to learn. Here are YouTubes I made recently. The first one is called Haunted House, a 16 measure song, is filled with a variety of musical concepts in such a short song. Niekludow's creates a melody in A Harmonic minor, including a D#, which makes the song more interesting. Line 1

Trick or Treat Bucket Notes Game
The past weeks I've been trying to do some research about how to create a Halloween Board Game on Canva. After a few attempts, had a chance to get an idea how to make it work. I'm feeling blessed and grateful to always keep learning. You and the student(s) will start at the A in the left hand corner and move around the the board, while picking flash cards from a Trick or Treat Bucket. You can either use piano notes, Grand Staff or both. After the flash cards are gone, who eve
