Last week was amazing with the students preparing for the upcoming Studio Event called An Ornamental Christmas. On Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, I had a chance to do a piano and vocal group class and everyone had a blast. The piano students did a piano quartet of an arrangement I created of Deck the Halls. Each student had a specific section that they played as a solo, yet their faces were beaming with pride as they created a video of the song. I'm so proud of them.
We also did a cup rhythm of We Three Kings arranged by Wendy Stevens, which was so much fun allowing the students a chance to work together. Plus the cup rhythm sounded like the students were pretending to ride a camel. Yes the sound on Zoom made them a bit off, yet we had a great time collaborating and smiling.
Here is the link to the We Three Kings Cup Rhythm through composecreate.com. Thanks Wendy.
Plus my in-person and online vocalists are working on Three Group Songs: We Need a Little Christmas Now, Sparklejollytwinklejingly and White Winter Hymnal. Plus each student is doing a solo or duet. I'm so overwhelmed in the best way experiencing their growth and willingness to try something new. What a blessing to try music for these students and the smiles they bring each time we work together. They feed off of the others' positive energy and vibes. I love it.

What are you doing that's "bigger than yourself", yet possible with your students? Would like to know. Thanks for your support. Blessings.
