
Hodgepodge of Songs
The past weeks have been extremely busy working at some schools for a District Middle School Contest, working on summer camps, teaching lessons and running a business. Yet in the midst of all of this, a student asked me to explain the difference between major and minor chords. So I created a chart starting with a C Major chord, next a C minor chord, all the way up to a Cb minor chord, ascending with Treble and Bass Clef. Here's the link to this chart. Happy Easter
As we prepare for the upcoming Easter season, wanted to share an arrangement of a hymn Blessed Assurance. Jennifer Eklund, from pianopronto.com created a beautiful arrangement with a part of Brahms Waltz in Ab. This song is writtten in the key of G, with a time signature of 9/8. This perfect "splash" of Brahms work is a great reminder of who we are in Jesus and the assurance we have in Him. Hope you enjoy this song. What are you playing this Easter season? Fantasies and Fairy Tales Lisa Donovan Lukas
Just recently came upon a piano book from Piano Pronto that I've used with a student who likes minor music.
