Walk: How It's Benefited Me

Since I can remember, my mom and I would "speed walk" while we lived in Andover, Kansas, either in late Middle or High School. I've always enjoyed walking in most weathers, as it builds endurance and physical strength. Yet for me, it's really helped with focus at times when I feel "stuck", "uncertain", "frustrated". If it's a walk around the block, do an almost 2 mile walk in the neighborhood, walking around the zoo, nature parks, when I return I'm experiencing a good tired and have a higher level of focus. My walking goal every day, is 10,000 steps, which mostly occurs. Please I'm not bragging though.

Walking is a full body exercise, for the heart, cognition, circulatory system, lungs, building muscle tone, focus and so much more. My neighbor is trying to get me to more squats and a co-worker reminds me of the benefits of taking the stairs, which classifies as lunges for the body.

Plus you can lose some weight by constantly moving your body. Walking is my way of exercising. This isn't a guilt blog, it's just a reminder to do what you can to take care of yourself well. Also dancing and choreography is so great for your body. Based on the song from Sister Act 2 "Get Up Offa That Thing/Dancing in the Street" or Madagascar "You've Got to Move It Move It", lets keep moving. What do you do to take care of yourself? Would like to know. Thanks for your support. Blessings.
