When I Forget If I'm Helping My Students and Then This Happens.....

Yesterday and today I lost two students and to be honest I'm not getting any new ones recently. Yet I've been focusing on who I have, like I always do. Each student is growing beyond anything I could ask or think. It's so beautiful to be part of their musical and theatrical lives. What a blessing. Hopefully I will get more students soon.

I always ask my students what their favorite part was after the lesson and they will share their thoughts. Yet this last lesson spoke volumes that made me cry in the best way. As an educator we are making the largest impact on the students' lives that they will remember. We are making their day. That's what it's all about. Making someone's day. If we do that, we've accomplished so much beyond imagination.
