Faber's Disney Piano Solos

Wanted to share about some of the songs from Faber's Piano Fun Level 3A-3B. The book is filled with gorgeous songs by Disney composers. The first example is the Colors of the Wind, from Pocahontas. This arrangement is filled with a variety of dynamics, dotted sixteenth and eighth notes, plus the melody is very lyrical. This arrangement is worth learning and teaching.

Be Our Guest includes grace notes, a few ostinatos in the bass clef, a variety of dynamics that make the melody moving and upbeat.

Remember Me from Coco has many fermatas and legato sound. Really like this arrangement. Definitely want to teach this song.

When She Loved Me is not one I'm really familiar with, yet after playing this arrangement I was "hooked". The Faber's created an arrangement that is light and lovely. Yet the lyrics get me, as I recall watching Toy Story 2 where Jessie expressed what her life was like with her "owner". Yet she also explains the pain of being abandoned by the one she loved. The haunting tale of the lyrics are absolutely beautiful. This is one I'm anticipating teaching.

If you have this book, what are some of your favorites? Would like to know. Thanks for your support. Blessings.
