This week was a blast serving as an accompanist for Missoula Children's Theater, at McConnell Air Force Base. Every time I'm on the Base, I feel so blessed beyond measure. It's an overwhelming blessing and opportunity to serve the kids, Missoula Staff and Base Staff on the Air Force Base. One of the staff was able to play the Big Bad Wolf, while the other staff worked behind the scenes.
The story is loosely based on Little Red Riding Hood, who wants to be known as "Red", explains to her family that she is not a "child" and can go to Grandma's House without any help. After "convincing her family" that she is capable, her girlfriends join her on the journey through the woods. She meets the Lovable Wolf and Wolfgang (who are not Lovalbe at all, based on Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, where I would play Mozart's famous Theme Eine Kleine Nocturne). Wolfgang allows Red and her girlfriends to get into unnecessary trouble. The Big Bad Wolf attempts to save them every time, stating that he's not a "Bad" Wolf. Ranger Rooney and the Wolf do everything they can to help Red and her friends, yet they always choose the wrong ideas. They get caught up with Poison Ivy, Poison Oak, Thistle, Nettle, involved in drama with Loveable Wolf and the Wolfgang, and a forest fire. All in the meantime the Big Bad Wolf is only trying to help. Raccoons and Wolfgang steal Red's picnic basket, getting the friends into ever more drama.
In the end, The Big Bad Wolf finds that Grandma has been locked in a closet without a key. During the adventure a Locksmith found a key and couldn't find a lock for the key. The Big Bad Wolf is in Grandma's Bed pretending to be Grandma and finally confesses what his brother and the Wolfgang had done. The Locksmith saves the day and Red and her friends learn valuable lessons about always staying on the trail and not veering off. Also included in the story is Robin Hood and the Three Little Pigs, yet they didn't have enough so these parts were cut out.
The story was created in 2021 adapted by Michael McGill, is definitely a great show to consider for your theater group. The Staff who work for Missoulas were awesome, even allowing me chances to help the kids with a rhythm activity and made me feel a part of the team. Want to give a garganous shout out to McConnell Air Force Base for allowing me serve the kids, their staff and the Missoula staff. I always anticipate attending.
Enjoy the pictures. Let me know what you're doing that is an incredible blessing for accompanying? Would like to know. Thanks for your support. Blessings.
