The past weeks I have been looking over, practicing and trying to make videos of Christmas music and planning for our Halloween studio event happening this Saturday. What an amazing time of the year. The students are doing very well with the Halloween music and they are enjoying the Christmas songs selected.
With the weekend event coming up, I'm planning a couple extra ideas for the next two weeks. A while ago, I found a rhythm dictation to the song Purple People Eater from pianimation The focus is feeling the steady beat and helping students understand quarter and eighth notes.

Plus want to teach movement to the song and found a great video of a teacher doing 50's style choreography to the song. Going to try to teach the students how to do this too. Think they will enjoy it.
I want to try to read some fun Halloween Music Songs, including the 13 Nights of Halloween by Guy Vasilovich, Halloween Hustle by Charlotte Gunnufson and the Monster Mash. Hopefully I can share about these great books soon. What are some different things you're doing to try this Halloween with your students? Would like to know. Thanks for your support. Blessings.
