This Saturday the studio is preparing for a Christmas Event, called Spreading Christmas Cheer, where the voice, piano and acting students will be sharing a variety of Christmas music and we'll be doing some scenes from Elf. Everyone has been working very hard since before Halloween. I'm so proud of all of the students and the effort they put into the music and scripts. Everyone is playing, singing or acting in ways that are "stretching and beyond themselves" allowing them to grow as musicians and actors.
Wanted to take a moment to share a song that I'll be playing: Elf The Main Theme. Plus I'm wearing a Buddy the Elf costume. This song was written by John Cardon Debney, which is a light-hearted theme with staccatos throughout most of the piece. The dynamics are mp and the B section is forte. Debney incorporates many 7th and 9th chords in the theme. The song came from Musicnote.com. Here's the link.
Here's a YouTube that is probably one of my favorites at the moment. Hope you like this song and definitely check it out. Thanks for your support. Blessings.
