This last week I've been working on an upcoming 2024 Summer Camp, where those who attend will learn music and choreography from Wicked, Dear Evan Hansen, and Back to the Future the musical. Currently I have One Short Day from Wicked and It Works from Back to the Future the Musical.
One Short Day focuses on Elphaba and Glinda, who enter the Emerald City. They are overwhelmed in a good way by the glamor of the city, wanting to absorb all that they can.
The song It Works is where Doc Brown has created a DeLorean Time Machine and Marty McFly is uncertain how to respond. My favorite part of the song is when the "Girls just show up every time I sing". Gets me laughing.
